Summer months are a great time for locals and visitors to explore some of the culinary treats the area has to offer. Have you ever found yourself wishing you could taste more of the foods available in the Intracoastal region? Taste of Palm Beach gives you that chance. During Taste of Palm Beach, you can enjoy a prix fixe menu from over 50 restaurants throughout the area, offering everything from delectable seafood to spicy international cuisine.
Taste of Palm Beach runs from September 1 through September 30. For just $20 for a three-course lunch or $30 to $35 for a three-course dinner, you can get a taste of the restaurants everyone is crazy about, all for a price that is easier on the budget. The challenge will be choosing which restaurants to try. The official 2015 list has not yet been published, but here are some favorites that usually participate and that will get you to explore some restaurants outside of your typical favorites close by.
Dining in the South
If your dining in the South, consider Josef’s Table. This restaurant has historically offered a variety of dishes on its Flavor menu, and has a very Old-World taste. Sample items like escargot, diver scallops and roasted duck for a price well below the normal menu price.
For seta, you will want to head to Butcher Block Grill, which features locally-grown produce in many of its dishes. Lamb sliders for a starter pair nicely with a five-ounce steak or grilled salmon. For dessert, diners rave about the homemade apple strudel.
If you have a hankering for seafood, 50 Ocean is a great choice. The restaurant boasts beach views from its oceanfront piece of Palm Beach real estate and has delectable seafood options, including lunchtime surf-and-turf tacos.
Restaurants in the North
Head north to dine at Cafe Chardonnay, which in the past has offered its tasty lobster bisque and peach-Serrano focaccia as appetizers, with crab-crusted yellow tail braised short rib for meals.
Finally, for a spicy selection, Texas de Brazil has been a local favorite for Flavor month. This particular restaurant does not have a menu, but rather serves fire-grilled meats from waiters who parade past the table, combined with a full salad bar. In 2014, Texas de Brazil offered its Brazilian steak house meal for an $8 discount during Flavor month.
The official 2015 menu has not been announced yet, but now is the time to start clearing your calendar in preparation for Flavor of Palm Beach, because it’s just a few weeks away!
