Palm Beach Island’s Unique Homes and Estates: Browsing through “New York Cottages and Gardens” online newsletter “Daily Deeds – The Daily Scoop of Real Estate News” I came across an article by Cindi Cook from November 2015. In it she takes readers on a tour of decorator Larry Laslo’s Palm Beach home, which he describes as “an enchanting cottage in my own private jungle.” It sits tucked away in Phipps Plaza. It reminded me of the many different unique and special neighborhoods we are lucky to enjoy on a day to day basis. One of the things you won’t notice until you spend extended time in Palm Beach is that there are many different sections of town with distinct nuances and their own flair. Take the Estate section for instance or Billionaires Row – they are relatively easy to place, but then there are the Sea Streets, El Streets, Phipps Plaza (not to be confused with Phipps Estates.) It adds to the character of Palm Beach and makes it so unique and special. Other fun reads in the newspaper include the recent sale of Laura Mercier’s New York City apartment.
