“Once again, the appeal of the new has helped close a sizable real estate sale on the ocean, this one involving a house south of Palm Beach in Manalapan. Recently completed, the contemporary-style oceanfront home at 920 S. Ocean Blvd. changed hands for $28 million, the price recorded today with the deed by the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office. Built on speculation, the house was sold by its developer, Farrell Building Co. of The Hamptons in New York, using a Delaware-based ownership company named after the property’s address. The three-story house has eight bedrooms and 17,719 square feet of living space, inside and out. An architect’s rendering shows that it has plentiful windows facing the sea and expansive patios, covered loggias and balconies, as well as a swimming pool on the west side of the house and an separate elaborate water feature facing the beach….Angle also is representing a similarly sized new house built by the same developer at 900 S. Ocean Blvd., next door to the one that just sold. With transitional architecture, it is priced at $29.95 million. Palm Beach and Manalapan have seen a number of large sales recently for never-lived-in houses developed on speculation. The most recent involved a new oceanfront house built at 101 Indian Road in Palm Beach, which sold this month for a recorded $49 million. It had been listed for sale by Cristina Condon of Sotheby’s International Realty, and the buyer was represented by Angle.”
