It seems that in the blink of an eye summer has flown by and we are entering the 2016/2017 “Season” here on Palm Beach Island. Car transporters are unloading the seasonal residents’ vehicles, including many fun and colorful cars, the parking lot at the local supermarket is busy, and restaurants are buzzing with excitement, as new and old friends catch up with each other and share their summer happenings. Notable increases in showings for homes on the market for sale or for last minute seasonal leases on Palm Beach Island, Manalapan, Jupiter Island and Intracoastal West Palm Beach, reflect the “season’s start” also for the real estate community. Darrell Hofheinz with the Palm Beach Daily News wrote in his column on Friday October 28th, 2016 ” Big-dollar real estate sales in Palm Beach tend to draw the most attention, but each season also sees plenty of contracts inked for leases — and at prices that sometimes engender a little sticker shock among the uninitiated. This year is no exception, and brokers are again reporting that competition is fierce among those seeking rentals.
