A few weeks ago, we crossed the milestone of $1 billion+ in sales this year – already. I can’t say it was a surprise as I am neurotically aware of every sale and purchase, but it was a moment of grateful reflection. My first thought wasn’t about the number. It was about the clients who trusted us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Some clients going back fifteen, even twenty years, others starting with a cold call. A big number, but a bigger thank you is due to all those clients; I cannot express my gratitude enough.
Palm Beach measures success differently. We measure it in billions. I don’t want to write a victory lap. A number like that isn’t just a story about one brokerage, it’s a symptom of something bigger happening on this island. So I want to answer the question I get asked most: why here, and why now?
The Weather Is the Foundation
I’ve lived through enough Palm Beach Januarys to take this for granted. We shouldn’t.
Palm Beach sees roughly 231 sunny days a year against a national average of 205. We get no snow, ever. For someone shoveling a driveway in February, that’s not a lifestyle upgrade. It’s a different life.
A Rare Piece of Geography
Palm Beach is a narrow barrier island, ocean on one side and the Intracoastal on the other, so almost nowhere is far from the water. It’s close enough to Miami and Fort Lauderdale to reach in under two hours, yet remote enough to keep its own quiet, small-town rhythm. I like to say it is a small town with a global reach.
The Math That’s Hard to Argue With
I try not to lead with taxes, but for a lot of buyers it’s the numbers that move the decision forward. Florida has no state income tax and is the nation’s leader in net income migration, pulling in roughly $39 billion a year in adjusted gross income from relocating residents. A recent survey found tax efficiency is the single biggest driver for 62 percent of high-net-worth movers. People aren’t just moving their address. They are moving their lives, and increasingly, the math works.
Getting Here Has Never Been Easier
People relocating from New York or California often worry about feeling cut off. The opposite is happening. President Donald J. Trump International Airport is now one of the busiest general aviation airports in the country, with roughly 65 percent of its traffic private and corporate, and it keeps expanding to meet demand.
A Food Scene That No Longer Needs an Excuse
This is the part of the pitch that’s changed the most in the last year or two. Palm Beach’s dining scene is still anchored by the institutions that built its reputation, from storied Worth Avenue mainstays to the grand dining rooms of the island’s landmark The Breakers. New restaurants are coming to Palm Beach, but what’s also noteworthy is happening just across the bridge. West Palm Beach has quietly become one of the most talked-about dining destinations in the country, earning Palm Beach County’s first-ever Michelin star this year, recognition that happens when a market has enough demand to support it. The cuisine now spans the globe, French, Italian, Japanese, Greek, Cuban, Indian, in a way that simply wasn’t true here a decade ago.
Entertainment That Fills a Full Calendar
Palm Beach isn’t a retirement postcard anymore. It’s a full cultural calendar: the Norton Museum of Art, the Kravis Center, the Society of the Four Arts, the new Glazer Hall, and the Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens. Add a growing lineup of festivals and live entertainment that once required a trip to Miami, and there’s rarely a week without an exciting reason for an evening out.
What This Actually Means
None of this is new to the people already living here. What’s changed is how many others have figured it out too. Nearly 90,000 people have moved to Palm Beach County since the pandemic began, and our region was the fourth-fastest-growing metro area in the country in 2023 and 2024.
That’s the real headline behind our $1 billion year. It’s not a statement about one brokerage, it’s a reflection of this entire market. The weather brought people here first, but the safety, the freedom to build wealth on your own terms, the ease of getting anywhere, and a life that’s genuinely full are what’s keeping them, and bringing so many more.
Distinction is everything. So is $1 billion+ in sales this year so far.
Milestones are measured in numbers. Success is measured in trust. To every client who let us be part of that decision this year: thank you. It’s been the privilege of my career, and I don’t take a single one of those relationships for granted. Behind every closing is a partnership grounded in trust, insight, and a deep knowledge of this island.
