Estates with fascinating Palm Beach History

For all of you history buffs and also those of you who merely find Palm Beach history as interesting as I do, here is a great article in the Palm Beach Daily News as written by Darrell Hofheinz and posted Friday February 26th, 2016:” They are among Palm Beach’s most fascinating homes, created by developers who sliced them from 1920s-era mansions that would otherwise have fallen to the wrecking ball. The Estate Section’s Cielito Lindo is perhaps the most famous: Subdivided in 1947, its original living room was demolished to make way for Kings Road. But the Addison Mizner-designed house on the South End of Lagomar Road is nearly as notable.  The 1928 mansion was subdivided in the 1950s, and among its remnants is 12 Lagomar, where the architect’s original paneled dining room today serves as the house’s living room.  That room was the focal point of and extraordinary renovation project carried out..” To further underline the remarkable renovation the project was honored with the 2012 Robert I. Ballinger Award. This remarkable property is listed with Christian Angle Real Estate, please contact Christian directly at 561.629.3015 or cjangle@anglerealestate.com for additional information.
