On April 28, William Kelly of the Palm Beach Daily News reported on the increase of property values expected in Palm Beach this year. This anticipation comes from Gary Nikolitis, a Palm Beach County property appraiser. Such an increase is precisely what Palm Beach’s finance director, Jane Struder, expected. Kelly writes, “Struder…said a 1 percent increase in values would be consistent with the budget projection in the town’s long-term financial plan. The plan assumes values will climb 1 percent in fiscal 2013, 2 percent in 2014, and 3 percent each following year during the next decade.” This welcome news heartens all those who have fretted over the economic state of Palm Beach real estate. After only two months on the market, the beautiful Palm Beach home at 416 Brazilian Avenue sold for $7.35 million. In an article in the April 2 edition of the Palm Beach Daily News, Darrell Hofheinz describes the property as a “Dutch Colonial-style house…[with] about 7,770 square feet of living space, inside and out, including a guest apartment, according to property records.” The rapid sale provides further proof of the Palm Beach real estate market’s positive upswing. Christian Angle Real Estate acted on behalf of the seller. To read more about the house and its happy new owners, check out the full article at palmbeachdailynews.com.

In his "Beyond the Hedges Article" in the Palm Beach Daily News, Darrell Hofheinz writes about the much talked about property at 100 El Bravo Way. The article that ran Thursday, February 9th, 2012 speaks to the tremendous renovation that the late Bill Elias did at the property. " The late renovator Bill Elias, who died in 2008, so completely overhauled a historic house at 100 El Bravo Way that the Palm Beach Town Council last month refused to add it to the town's list of landmarked and protected properties." It further says in the article, that "without landmark designation, the town has no say over whether the Tropins - or any future owner - can alter the exterior of the house."
